About the event
The 48-Hour Film Project is a national film challenge to create a short film in a short time frame with community-sourced talent. Connecting to the Greensboro 48-Hour Film Project, a Winston Salem cohort will work together over a weekend to develop its short film. This project will be headquartered at the new Project Space 411 located at 411 W. 4th Street in Winston Salem, NC and is sponsored by the Creative Center of North Carolina.
48-Hour films compete against each other and winners go on to compete in higher brackets - the worldwide winner is premiered at Cannes. Make no mistake, this is a grueling weekend. But for creators (writers, editors, cinematrographers, etc.), it is also a great time with the added value of a finished product! The 48-Hour Film Project kicks off on July 14th and runs through the weekend (July 16th).
